Catch up

So I started this blog a little after I had Bentley. I wanted to track every moment about him growing up. Then I got a little lazy and stopped doing it. Now when I read back on the old posts I wish I would have been better at it. So here is my second attempt. Hopefully I can keep it up better this time. So much has happened since I last wrote. I'm now pregnant with our second child (a little girl!) and Bentley is growing faster than I could have ever imagined! Right now I'm just trying to take care of Bentley and myself while my husband is doing training in the Army. It hasn't been easy chasing a 18 month old around while being pregnant AND not having a husband to save me from going crazy at the end of the day, but hopefully in the end it will be worth it. On the plus side Trevor only has a little over a month till he's done with his training and gets to come home!!!
Trevor left for basic training on January 13,2013. Once he left I wasn't sure if I could do it, because I've never been the most independent person. The first few days were very hard, but as time past I realized I was stronger than I thought. I was so excited for the end of March because me and Bentley got to go to South Carolina to go see Trevor for his graduation! I was a little nervous about flying, but my excitement to see my husband again overpowered that. Bentley loved the plane ride and he was so good! It was so cute to see him look out the window and get so excited as the plane took off. The only hard part about getting there was trying to keep him occupied between the flights. These fruit snacks definitely helped a lot! lol.

When we were landing in South Carolina I couldn't believe how pretty and green everything was! It felt like we were landing in the middle of a forest. The ward missionary's from Trevor's ward met us at the airport and brought us to the stake presidents house were we would be staying. I could hardly sleep that night knowing that I was only 20 minutes from my husband and that I was going to finally get to see him in the morning! Once morning finally came we drove down to Fort Jackson for family day. I was so excited sitting in the stands waiting for them to come out!

When they came out I couldn't hold in the tears. I couldn't see Trevor yet but I knew he was so close! Once they finished the ceremony I rushed onto the field trying to find Trevor. He found me first and ran up to me and hugged me so tight! It was the happiest I had felt in a long time!
After he hugged me forever, he picked up Bentley and hugged him tight. Bentley's reaction was a little different than mine. He was a little confused and not sure about everything that was going on around him ha ha.

After we got out of the crowd and spent the day together Bentley started recognizing Trevor more and was so excited to play with his daddy! Trevor got him a little teddy bear for Bentley. He was so excited and wouldn't put it down.
That night we went out to dinner. It was so awesome to be with my husband again!
The next day was his graduation. Watching the ceremony made me so proud of him for everything he had accomplished. I also loved the way he looked all dressed up! I definitely got a very sexy husband lol.

We spent the rest of that day just hanging out and playing. Bentley loved playing with his daddy again!

We also went to the zoo! Bentley loved it! He really like feeding the birds and watching them land all around him.

When the day was coming to an end. I started to feel very sad and lonely again, knowing that I only had a few more minutes with Trevor till I had to fly back home and Trevor had to move on to his job training. The last few minutes we had he just held each other tight and cried. Even though I only got to be with him for a few days, they were definitely the best two days!
